The Kameyama Plant Environmentally Conscious
Sharp Forests

Sharp Green Club* (SGC) is developing its initiative to plant Sharp Forests near Sharp bases and sales and service offices. The basic concept of the Sharp Forest initiative is to foster environmental awareness through tree-planting activities that give people a greater understanding of the bonds they have with forests and the creatures that inhabit them. In addition to planting trees, Sharp is also emphasizing activities to help take care of the trees that have already been planted. The Sharp Forest initiative aims to increase employees’ environmental awareness and contribute to the regeneration of forests by cultivating new and already planted trees. There are currently 9 Sharp Forests, and preparations are underway for the planting of a tenth in Okinawa. Sharp plans to continue creating healthy forests and to initiate tree-planting activities in new locations.

*A joint management-labor organization that plans and manages community-based environmental volunteer activities.
