SPC Joined a Local Environmental Protection Program, Planting Trees (Philippines)

Participants in the event

Planting 230 native trees

On May 31, 2013, Sharp (Phils.) Corporation (SPC) joined an environmental protection program by planting trees in Mabini, in the Province of Batangas, in the Luzon Island, north of the Philippines. This program has been promoted by the municipality of Mabini in light of serious situations where local trees were affected by harmful insects.

Sixty members including SPC employees and their family members participated in the event by planting 230 trees including native mangos and Philippine mahoganies. This opportunity has contributed to preserving the biodiversity of Mabini and deepened cooperation with the local communities, recognized by the municipality with a letter of appreciation.
