SEID Beach Cleanup Event (Indonesia)

Cleaning activity in the beach (June 1st at Denpasar)

Planting Mangrove trees (June 8th at Surabaya)

On June 1, 2013, P.T. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) organized a cleanup activity to preserve the ecosystem in a Denpasar beach, south of Bali. In cooperation with a local NPO, about 90 students and 17 SEID employees collected garbage exceeding 120kg and set up a signboard to remind visitors of no littering.

SEID also planned a tree-planting event and held it in the second largest city of Indonesia, Surabaya, north of Java on June 8, 2013. With the cooperation of some 20 locals from an agricultural association, about 130 local college students planted more than 1,000 Mangrove seedlings. Afterwards, a seabird watching session was also held.

SEID will engage in activities like these to protect beautiful nature and abundant ecosystem of Indonesia with a wish that the young generation be more aware of protecting the environment.
