SSI Management and Staff Commemorate World Environmental Day (Indonesia)

Cleaning activity in the beach (June 1st at Denpasar)

Planting Mangrove trees (June 8th at Surabaya)

P. T. Sharp Semiconductor Indonesia (SSI) planted trees in its office ground, commemorating World Environmental Day on June 5. President and 20 employees participated in the activity by planting 20 trees including Buttercup trees, deciduous tall trees of the bixa family native to Southeast Asia, and Bintaro trees, evergreen trees of the bogbane family. Bintaro trees are strong and part of the mangrove forest ecosystem.

Participants also practiced composting by mixing soil with food waste. The activities promote planting trees in the site using the compost while reducing waste.

SSI has long been promoting activities of raising awareness of local residents for environment such as providing environmental education on composting for primary school children. SSI vows to expand such activities in the future.
