On December 24, 2013, the Mie Plant (Taki Town, Mie Prefecture) opened the "High School Student Restaurant" by the Oka high school’s cooking club in the company's cafeteria.

The Mie Plant has been engaged in various learning support activities such as giving environmental lectures on demand and instruction support for track-and-field sports clubs together with local high schools. This special restaurant in the company cafeteria started last year and opens only during the school's long vacation, in order to let cooking club members gain hands-on work experience.

This time, the students have completed a series of work by themselves from menu planning, cooking, through serving meals. The fancy Christmas menu was very popular among the employees and all of the hundred sets went sold out in almost no time.
