Mie Plant Holds Beautification Activity of the Crystal Forest in Collaboration with Local Junior High and High Schools (Japan)

Sharp’s Mie Plant (Taki Town, Mie Prefecture) has been engaged in the beautification activities of a park called ”Crystal Forest Ein the Crystal Town of Taki* together with local Taki Junior High School and Houka High School.

On June 13, 2014, with an initiative of the Mie Plant, the participants planted flowers in the flowerbed and mowed the grass field as a part of the environmental leaning activity of Taki Junior High School. The participated 118 students from the third grade of the junior high received a lecture on the work procedure from their seniors from Production Economics Department of Houka High School who study agriculture and horticulture exclusively, and plowed the flowerbed and planted various flower seedlings grown in the Houka High School one by one. High school students taught the tips about flowers, and everyone enjoyed the activity and exchanges. In the future as well, all of the three parties would like to cooperate in beautifying the local places.
