Mie Plant Donates Proceeds from a Flea Market Held in the Plant (Japan)

The flea market attracts many visitors

Sales proceeds are donated to the Taki Town Council of Social Welfare

Sharp’s Mie Plant collects items that employees bring from their homes and sells them at flea markets held by the plant. In the “Sharp Mingling Festival Eheld in the late November, 2014, by opening part of the plant to the public, Sharp sold collected disused items from the employees and toilet paper made from recycled scrap copier paper supplied by the plant, and the sales totaled about 72,000 yen.

On March, 12, Sharp donated the sales proceeds to the Taki Town Council of Social Welfare at “Tenkei No Sato E a local welfare center in the town. Sharp will continue the activity in order to utilize disused articles effectively and contribute to the region in the future.
