On August 22, 2007, Sharp-Roxy Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd.
(SRC), a Sharp production base in Malaysia, conducted an environmental
education class on 'Recycling Starts from Young' at the local park,
Taman Jubli Perak. Using photographs and actual samples, SRC employees
helped some 70 kindergarten and elementary school students understand
clearly which activities and materials are beneficial to the environment
and which are detrimental.
At the end of the class, SRC employees distributed
a piece of handkerchief and recycling bag to the children to encourage
them not to use facial tissues and plastic bags that increase the
environmental load.
SRC hopes that these children will be able to
cultivate the recycling habit as a part of their daily lives through
this class.
