Sharp Addresses the Media at IFA Press Conference

Sharp introduced the press to its products and strategies in Berlin on September 3, 2009, the day before the start of the September 4 to 9 IFA 2009, the world's largest consumer electronics fair.

Hiroshi Sasaoka, CEO Europe, opened by talking about Sharp's European strategy, focusing on LED technology, the new AQUOS LE Series with LED backlight, and the new manufacturing complex under construction in Sakai City, Japan.
Frank Bolten, Managing Director of Sharp Electronics Germany and Austria (SEGA), followed with a look at the Sharp products on display at IFA 2009.

The press conference attracted approximately 346 mainly journalists and industry analysts. The question-and-answer session was dominated by queries about the LED backlight AQUOS, demonstrating once again the high interest that Sharp can generate through new product introductions.

At Sharp's IFA 2009 booth, products like the LED backlight AQUOS, combination solar-LED lighting, and smart phones and other mobile phones gave visitors a first-hand look at Sharp's cutting-edge technologies.
