2009 ES-TG830 Plasmacluster Washing Machine

Sharp introduced the ES-TG830 Top-Loading Washer/Dryer capable of releasing Plasmacluster ions at a concentration of 7,000 ions/cm³.^*1 The ES-TG830 deodorizes^*2 clothing inside the washing machine tub and also decomposes and removes airborne mold fungi in the area where the machine is installed.
The ES-TG830, the first top-loading washer/dryer to utilize a Plasmacluster ion concentration of 7,000 ions/cm³, removes bacteria and mold fungi not only inside the washing tub but also in the laundry area by releasing ions into the air (applicable room area: approximately 3.3 m²).
In addition, the ES-TG830 features Sharp's proprietary holeless tub, which eliminates drain holes in the wash/spin tub and does not waste water or detergent during the wash/spin cycle. This feature, together with a high-efficiency drying system, allows the ES-TG830 to use the least amount of water in the industry^*3 (89 liters of water for 8-kg wash load; 76 liters for 4.5-kg wash/dry load) and deliver high energy efficiency (1,800 Wh power consumption for 4.5-kg wash/dry load). This machine also features Sharp's proprietary Ag⁺ (silver) ion coating technology that helps clothing retain the antibacterial^*4/deodorizing effect even while being worn after laundering.

• *1:A washer/dryer equipped with a high-concentration Plasmacluster ion generator was placed against the wall of a room having the applicable floor area. The ion count per cubic centimeter (cm³) was measured by blowing ions into the air and near the center of the room (1.0 m above the floor), with the ion generator operating at HIGH airstream setting. The ES-TS830 is equipped with a device having such capabilities.
