Sharp Corporation would like to express its deepest sympathy to all the people harmed by the Tohoku-Area Pacific Coast Earthquake, and we are wishing for the speedy recovery of all afflicted areas.
As a follow-up to the announcement of a 100-million-yen monetary donation and the potential contribution of LCD TVs and other products for areas affected by the disaster, Sharp has decided to contribute necessary home appliances and health-conscious products to help equip temporary housings that are to be established.
Also, Sharp and Sharp Workers Union will jointly host a donation drive by employees to contribute to the recovery of areas that have suffered extensive damage due to the earthquake.
Sharp will continue to support areas affected by the disaster.
