First Kameyama Model:
AQUOS G Series
“Kameyama Model” refers to LCD TVs made with LCD panels manufactured at the Kameyama Plant. In February 2004, Sharp released the AQUOS G Series, the first LCD TVs made at the Kameyama Plant. Soon after that, dealers began telling us that customers would ask specifically for models made at the Kameyama Plant. The quality of the plant correlates directly with the quality of the LCD TVs produced there. As the public gradually became aware of this, even ordinary consumers, who generally don’t pay attention to the precise location where a product is manufactured, began citing the Kameyama Plant when purchasing Sharp products. In other words, customers created a factory brand—the “Kameyama brand”. Sharp considers this quite an honor. To thank consumers for recognizing the quality of the Kameyama Plant, Sharp now sells products with a “Kameyama Model” label. Consumers can count on the Kameyama Plant to stay on the cutting-edge of LCD TV production with the best there is—Sharp’s Kameyama Model.
