AI Engines

Sharp’s robotic vacuum cleaner gets its smarts from AI (artificial intelligence) engines. Both models feature Sharp’s COCORO Engine for convenient status reports. The RX-V100 also sports an embedded speech recognition engine for fun and easy voice operation.

COCORO Engine for Status Reports

Both the RX-V100 and the RX-V80 are equipped with Sharp’s COCORO Engine—newly developed artificial intelligence—which enables them to report their current status (e.g. how full the dirt bin is, how much battery charge remains) via assorted combinations of a blinking light, a waggling motion, and spoken messages.

Speech Recognition Engine for Voice Operation

The RX-V100 features an embedded speech recognition engine that supports three languages: English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese. In addition to operating the unit by voice command, you can carry on simple conversations such as “Good morning” and “Good night” with your smart cleaner.

When you give the “Clean” command, the RX-V100 uses speech to reply, “All right,” and waggles to acknowledge the command. It then enters Automatic Mode and begins cleaning.
