1) Direct Algebraic Logic (D.A.L.)
For most scientific calculators, keying in an equation is a complicated process, making them difficult to use. But with D.A.L., a feature unique to SHARP scientific calculators, symbols and numbers in an equation can be keyed in as they are written, allowing users to concentrate on mathematics concepts rather than difficult calculator operations.

2) Equation Display

Two-line display allows the users to check the equation and answer at the same time. And since the equation remains displayed, it is easy to edit or make substitution calculation if necessary.
(Since EL-500L/530L uses the one-line display, an equation and its answer are displayed separately.)

3) Attached, Easy-Glide Hard Case

The shatter-resistant case not only protects the calculator but also makes it more convenient for student use. Simply slide out the calculator, flip the case cover over to the back and snap it in tight.

4) Prevents Cheating

More and more, the use of calculators has been allowed in a variety of exams recently. To prevent cheating, as Advanced D.A.L. calculators are not programmable calculators, equation and answer are to be deleted by pushing OFF, CA, or enter a next equation. Or clear all data including memory data with "RESET" button.
