Installation of "Lumiwall", thin-film solar cells with built in LEDs, in the Yodoyabashi Redevelopment Building

Yodoyabashi Redevelopment Building

Solar cells, such as "Lumiwall" thin-film solar cells with built-in LEDs, were installed in the Yodoyabashi Redevelopment Building located in Chuo Ward, Osaka. This is an urban building for the 21st century which integrates environmentalism with design. It was built by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd., (Building A) and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., (Building B).
The "Lumiwall" panels used on the building's corners and portico (collonade) generate power and collect light during the day, and the built-in LEDs glow beautifully at night.
